Third hexagon quilt

This is the third hexagon quilt.  Based on all the details of this quilt I am definite that this quilt was made by another maker.  I plan to analyze this quilt further at a later date, to compare the fabrics to the first and second hexagon quilts.  At a quick glance these fabrics had a slightly different feel to them.  The fabrics are also old, but they have a slightly brighter assortment of colours.

These hexagons finish at 1 1/2" across instead of the 1 1/4" and the quilt measures at 61 1/2" wide x 77 1/2" tall.

The workmanship on this quilt is good, but not as fine as the first two hexagon quilts.  I am guessing this maker liked the layout of the second quilt and she wanted to make one of her own.  My cousin's husband said that both his grandmother and his mother used to sew.  This may have been made by his mother, while the first two would have been made by his grandmother.

These hexagons have many that look as though they have been fussy cut with flowers in the centres as well as other motifs.  The other major difference with this one is the detail on the finish.  This top is considered finished by the maker with the edges turned over on the sides and the half unites at the top and bottom.
