My Guild challenge block

I just realized that I didn't share with you the brown bag Guild challenge block that was made for me.  I wrote about it in a previous post, but in short, we did a brown bag challenge where you put fabric in a bag and someone else will design/make a block with your fabric and present it to you in September.  

The person that got my bag knows I like scrappy and so decided to do these bear paw blocks from an online source allpeoplequilt.com.  She even gave me the print out of the instructions, in case I want to do more and make something larger.  I like the bear paw block!  I even made a string version for myself several years ago.  I love that quilt! 

I think I will make more blocks, as I love the colours and background fabrics.  They have a bit of an autumn feel.  My other quilt is for my king size bed, so maybe I'll make a lap size for this one and keep it in the den.  The colours look so cozy.
