A couple of small Project Linus quilts complete

I've been down and out the last couple of days with the flu, so I am pulling this post from recent archives.  I'm back on the mend and after writing this post, I am going to go enjoy some sewing...or maybe I should be cutting...  Have a sew day with our small Sewing Sisters group on Saturday where we will be starting a group project.  Really looking forward to getting together to work on our new project.  More details about what we will be doing after I get pictures on Saturday.

This little NICU quilt, which will be going to Project Linus was a joint effort.  All the centre pieces were gifted to me by a friend, who preferred to move on to another project, rather then figure out what to do with her cut off triangles.  It took me no time at all to run all the triangles, which were already paired with a light fabric, through the machine.  I went with a simple layout and added borders.  Soooooo sweet!!  This quilt was finished in June/2025.

Here is a close up of the HST and a bit of the border.

This next quilt was to use up strips from my 2" drawer.  For a bit, I was using this as my leader/ender.  I chose one fabric for the starting square (white with polka dots), then I added fabric strips to two sides forming a corner.  This was started Jan/2025 and finished June/2025.   A little busy for me, and believe it or not, it's brighter in person!  I'm sure though that some child will like it.  Some of the fabrics have things of interest.  This quilt will also be going to Project Linus.  This one is toddler size.

Take care everyone.
