Here is a cute little quilt. I was able to get a quick finish! It started with these 12 strips left over from a stain glass type quilt. They were part of the clean up I did recently. They are all batik fabrics.
I had to think of a way to make these pieces stretch. That I when I knew it had to be a NICU quilt. Here is what I came up with. It's a simple quilt. I am letting the bright coloured pieces stand out in the background of white. Note that the binding is not wavy. It's only because I took the picture with the quilt on the grass. I quilted this quilt using Overlapping Crop Circles from Urban Elementz. I liked how the quilting design matches the design on the white fabric.
Here is the colourful backing that I used and that same backing fabric, cut on a diagonal for the binding.
It felt nice to have this NICU quilt done in an afternoon. Minus the binding, which was completed on another day. I am working on several quilts that are taking a long time to piece, so a quick finish is exactly what I needed.
Take care everyone.
