Sabryna's progress on Snow Day

Happy Boxing Day!  Hope everyone had a great Christmas celebration.  Here we are celebrating it twice!  My daughter and her significant other are down for a couple of days.  They made it to my mom's yesturday and now today, we as in our immediate family, will be doing Christmas all over again....lol.

My daughter did stockings for her significant other, her dad and me/her mom.  I did the stockings for my daughter, son and our four legged baby girl.  All the sacks are under the tree bulging with gifts and I can't wait to see the look on the kids faces when they start unwrapping.

Today will feel more like Christmas to me, as we spend the day together with my little family, all cozy by the decorated tree, in a warm home, while the wind and snow batter around outside.  I am definitely happy, that I do not have to go out anywhere today in this weather.  For anyone out there who has to travel, take your time and keep safe.

I am sitting here in the quiet of the morning, before everyone else wakes up, having my cup of tea, writing this post.  I'm excited and sit here in anticipation for the day to unfold.  I know I won't get any sewing done today, so I'll share with you the picture that my daughter sent me yesturday.  This is my daughter's progress on her Snow Day quilt.

I can't get over how fast she is moving along on this embroidery.  I posted about her progress only three days ago, where she had the large tree on the left halfway done.  Now the tree, bushes and snow bank are done.  Plus the garage is mostly done.......like wow!  She has been boogieing on this.  I'll say it again, I love watching as the pictures unfold!  I get the same feeling when I am working on my To Grandmother's House We Go quilt, embroidery parts.

Take care everyone.
