Summer Blooms by Primitive Gatherings

I'm sharing this with you from one of the ladies in our Saturday sew day.  This is something new that she has been doing.  It's the first time we got to see it.  She says, she was inspired by the wool wall hanging she saw here at my home, and said she just had to try it.  These blocks are cotton background and wool appliqué.

They are so cute!  She is doing a fabulous job on them, especially considering these blocks are only about 4 1/2" square.   She is working with tiny pieces!  The pattern is shown below.  It's called Summer Blooms by Primitive Gatherings.  This wall hanging will measure only 24" square.......more tiny pieces....lol.  They are beautiful blocks.

This maker also came baring gifts.  She gave each of us this wooden dice.  It's about 2" square and on each side there is writing, something to do with quilting.  When I rolled the dice, it landed on this, "Start New Project".....lol.  Like I need any incentive.....lol.  There are other things, like bind a quilt, clean sewing space, organize stash and more.  Thank you.

Yesturday, I did finish the stitch and flip corners on all the red square, but I didn't get to trimming the triangles in the back.  I had forgotten that the sale was ending and I still had to go get part of my daughter's Christmas gift.  I finished Christmas shopping for my four legged baby girl.  I texted my daughter that I was done Maddie's gifts and she responded with, "lol now you can't deny who your favourite child is!", lol.  I am sure I am not the only pet owner that loves their pet and treats them just like part of the family.  My daughter does too!

Tonight, after work and groceries, I am hoping to go down to my studio and catch up on my required weekly blocks.  I have to catch up and also do the blocks for this week.  Got to get to it!!

Take care everyone.
