Yesturday was so much fun

Yesturday I had the Heartfelt group of ladies here to sew all day.  It was so nice to get together to sit and chat, share some snacks/tea, ideas and sew.  Since the Heartfelt quilt is done and gone a while ago, I am going to stop referring to them as the Heartfelt ladies.  Instead we have a chat group name called Sewing Sisters, so I am going to go with that.  It seems more appropriate.  It's interesting how, when people get together, even with different personalities, how they come together to create and come to form a bond.  I think it's the respect for each other that is key to making it all work.

We have a great little group, who now come together to work on our own things and sometimes work on another project were more then one person wants to join in (like the Smith Mountain Morning quilt).  When we get together we cheer each other on and that is so uplifting.  Two of the ladies were working on their Smith Mountain quilts, one was doing a row by row quilt and I was working on my Low Volume Chevron quilt.

I did four blocks while everyone was here, and after they left, I was still on a high, that I continued to sew and made another four more blocks.  That's fantastic!!!  I've never made that many in one go before!  Just amazing.  Now I have only sixteen more to make to start putting this quilt together.  I can't wait!!

Today I have to do some machine quilting, then we'll see what I can work on after that.

Take care everyone.
