HST stars quilt (QW)

Yesturday I trimmed down this quilt that I quilted for Quilt of Valour.  I didn't make it, they just asked me to quilt it for them.  This is the second of the two they gave me this time around.

I thought it was a simple and pretty quilt to use up scrappy larger half square triangles.  Pair it with a background fabric like they did here or use scrappy backgrounds.  Either way I think it would be attractive.  I liked it so much that I drafted up the pattern in EQ, so that I would have the measurements and be able to make one down the road with my own scraps.

Yesturday, I finally loaded my log cabin quilt on the longarm and quilted it!!  That felt good.  I couldn't believe that it took me 6 1/2 hours to quilt it.  I'd forgotten just how long a king size quilt took to quilt.  Pictures of that one will follow some other time.  I also loaded up another quilt to quilt.

Today, I am doing a bit of straightening up around here first, but then hoping to get started on free motion quilting my hexagon quilt.

Take care everyone.
