Star NICU quilt

Yesturday, I had an appointment in the morning and then I was off to my mom's place to make some sauerkraut and stay to have dinner.  So I only had a couple of hours in the morning to myself and decided to make this star.  I cut out five in total.  All of them are different fabrics.  This one is going to get a good press and then quilted.

I also made this strip filler piece for the backing of my king sized log cabin blocks quilt.  So today I am hoping to concentrate on getting this strip attached to the backing and loaded up on the longarm to be quilted.  I'm so excited to get this one done and on my bed!!  I haven't finished a quilt for me in a very, very long time.  It's time!!  In fact, over the last year, I've been taking some time, between everything else, to actually work on some of my own quilts.  There are two more to follow, that just need quilting.

So I best get off the computer and get going, as it won't get done just by looking at it....lol.
